Pink is one of the leading colours of spring summer 2009. Looks like this colour trend rejoiced lots of celebs as they decided to show up in pink this year at red carpet. Straight from the 81st Annual Academy Awards:
Alicia Keys wore an amazing pink Armani Privé gown, but she was criticised by her inapt choice of a brown-haired, wavy wig and too much make-up, which made her look like a cartoon. However, she did a great job by choosing chandelier earrings and a glossy Zufi Alexander clutch.
Jessica Biel opted for a satin fuchsia Oscar de la Renta Fall 2009 gown. I don’t know what it is, but somehow I dislike her and it doesn’t help that she’s wearing a trendy wide golden belt.
Natalie Portman‘s choice was a stunning pink Rodarte strapless gown. I loved her perfectly-manicured fingernails (the dress was too long to notice the toes, but she probably didn’t miss that significant detail as she was reportedly wearing Stella McCartney shoes). Portman accessorized the chiffon gown with a vintage Rialto clutch and Kwiat jewellery.
I must say, these pink dresses were among my favourite ones during this year’s Oscars. If I were a celebrity, I’d probably wear something pink!
