Camel coat is a wardrobe staple for winter 2010 that adds a little movie-star glamour. It sits alongside the leopard print coat trend – the one beloved by Kate Moss and Miley Cyrus. Camel’s fan list includes: Alexa Chung, Kate Hudson and Blake Lively.

Camel-coloured coat is a sign that nowadays fashion is going back to basics. After all, warm honey hues work with everything and suit almost every skin tone. Except for one: if you’re a blonde and if you have a pale skin (“winter type”) choose colder shades of beige instead. They will suit you better.
For a frosty winter (like the one in Poland!) choose a wool winter coat. The most stylish choice is a double-breasted camel coat which takes command in the military style (another winter 2010 must-have trend). I already bought such a coat and I must say I had probably searched whole eBay to get a suitable one. All in all, it kicks ass so it was worth it.
Consider luxurious fabrics, chic draping and stylish cuts. Try different forms: a straight cut (Jason Wu), a classic three-quarter length crombie, a belted style that reminds of a dressing-gown (Max Mara). Find your perfect style and make the investment – a camel coat should be your wisest buy of the season!
