Apart from walking in the annual 2009 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Anna Jagodzinska has also walked the runway for Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Balenciaga, Chanel, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton.

During my shopping hunt I’ve taken a picture of ruffled blouses in H&M to prove they’re on one side very fashionable and on the other one it’s a piece of cake to find a suitable one for yourself. In the picture you can see a bold coloured ruffle blouse (orange to be exact), pastel one (cream) and flower-print one. Each and every of these ruffled blouses is flawlessly fashionable today and it makes a promise to add a girly chic to your outfit. Remember that ruffles are naughty and can flare outwards distorting the proportions.

Either with long or roll sleeves, with a notch or shawl collar, button fronted or bottonless, designers suggest a boyfriend-fit jacket or a blazer. It’s a great idea to play with colours:

Inspired with the Roman Empire epoque, gladiator sandals are a very trendy accessory actually second time in a row. The ones that will especially be favoured during Spring Summer 2010 season are the anke high ones. Gladiator sandals are light and airy thanks to the delicate stripes and stiletto heel but on the other side they can bring it on in a truly gladiator way.

If you can’t stand (or can’t walk in) gladiator stilettos then you can choose a pair of flat gladiator sandals instead. To create your tough girl Spring Summer 2010 style look out for the same style but in bolder, brighter colours like a pink jelly, bright-yellow or electric papaya. A safe version still includes silver, black and tasty shades of bronze like nutella. A little bling to your gladiator-inspired sandals are a good idea too – try the ones with large studs or rhinestone detail.

It’s important to balance them out with delicate clothes like a frilly floral print top and a fringe hobo. This is my suggested look that I called an urban(e) safari look.

Vogue is amused with the conception of designers offering “options for the hunter and the hunted”, which means that on one hand you can choose animal prints and be a game and on the other one you can turn to a hunter and go for a classic khaki and beige.

Animal prints are one of my favourite fashion tools which accentuate woman’s wild nature. They were especially seen at the Resort 2010 collections including Blumarine, Valentino and Chloé.

For women who don’t feel confident with fierce animal prints, designers prepared a more balanced option. Alberta Ferretti and Tory Burch offer some safari looks with an urban edge where khaki and beige are the dominating colours.

There is some good news for compromise lovers – you can mix these two trends with each other just like Roberto Cavalli does. His suggestion is a plain baggy blouse combined with a pair of animal print patch trousers. My idea is to accessorize a khaki shirt dress with a leopard print bag.

The only problem is the designers don’t actually care about how women are going to deal with the implied eroticism of the thigh-high boots. In fact, they are frequently related to erotism, boot fetishism, prostitutes and professional dominatrices, so it’s a good idea to know how to wear them properly.

Antonio Berardi, Haider Ackermann and Hermès avoid this unwanted slutty looks by dressing their models in a totally unsexy way. Baggy clothes and too long jackets draw off the attention to the tigh-high boots, loaded with erotism.

Gareth Pugh on the other hand opts for a more dominatrix style by completing the looks with a daring eye make-up. Emilio Pucci, whose idea is to wear the boots with a short dress or a short fur has stolen my heart. Somehow it makes a perfect compromise between fashion and good impression – as I’d call it.

The desired length of this season thigh-high boots is just over the knee, avoiding the ones that reach almost to the crotch (referred to as crotch boots). They can be either flat (Giuseppe Zanotti) or high-heeled (Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Loewe). For your own good, they are made of genuine leather or suede and the colours seem just toned (black, grey, brown, green, creamy). The aim is so as to make the boots just a ‘dessert’, not the ‘main course’.
