Primal and tribal print is a spring summer 2010 trend that “dances to the beat of a tribal drum with modern, African-inspired pieces” – so read in Vogue. Almost every designer includes some exotic influences in their spring summer 2010 collection. Starting from tribal earrings and statement necklaced that everyone can afford, tribal fashion is getting more and more fans worldwide. I prefer classic fashion more than tribal one but I’m fully aware that it’s become so popular that everyone can choose something suitable for themselves.

Exotic touches of the ethnic inspired fashion (often called Boho) have been popularised by such A-listers: Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens, Olsen Twins, Kate Hudson etc. You can get plenty of inspiration from them to create your ultimate ‘Pocahontas look’. Try channelling some earth tones and stone colours and finishing the look with a tribal jewellery (like chunky necklaces) which plays a truly important role in boho chic.

Mexican traditional schemes, stones and feathers will create a Goth Tribal Warrior that was presented on Rodarte spring summer 2010 collection. Their models had the arms painted with makeup to imitate tribal tattoes. They also had dark goth lips and hair wrapped in webbed wool. But remember that a head-to-toe tribal looks too costumey so try adding a modern touch to the fringed lace scarves, sari dresses, crocheted cardigans and wraps in colours. Good luck!

Naomi sported a ’40s-inspired look at the New York City premiere of “Nine” where she appeared wearing a raspberry silk dress from Marchesa. She accessorized her bold shoulder sheath with the balanced accessories: a peach minaudiere and Christian Louboutin pumps.

Penélope was a scene-stealer in her Chanel couture single-shoulder gown at the New York City premiere of “Nine”. Her crimson goddess gown and chandelier earrings from Chopard made her dressed to kill.

Blake wore a lace-covered bustier Dolce & Gabbana minidress at the New York City premiere of “Sherlock Holmes”. She paired the legs-revealing frock with a pair of Christian Louboutin pumps.

For the “Nine” New York City premiere Marion opted for a glamorous white gown from Christian Dior. The embroidered bodice and black diamond strands from Chopard made the simple dress look modest yet sophisticated.

For the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala Maria chose a sequined black skin-tight Hervé Léger by Max Azria gown. She also wore a bolero jacket and lots of diamonds to achieve an elegant evening look.

Camel coat is a wardrobe staple for winter 2010 that adds a little movie-star glamour. It sits alongside the leopard print coat trend – the one beloved by Kate Moss and Miley Cyrus. Camel’s fan list includes: Alexa Chung, Kate Hudson and Blake Lively.

Michael Kors says that “camel looks indulgent like winter white but has the pragmatism of gray and black. It’s the best of both worlds. … A camel coat evokes throwaway glamour.”

Camel-coloured coat is a sign that nowadays fashion is going back to basics. After all, warm honey hues work with everything and suit almost every skin tone. Except for one: if you’re a blonde and if you have a pale skin (“winter type”) choose colder shades of beige instead. They will suit you better.

For a frosty winter (like the one in Poland!) choose a wool winter coat. The most stylish choice is a double-breasted camel coat which takes command in the military style (another winter 2010 must-have trend). I already bought such a coat and I must say I had probably searched whole eBay to get a suitable one. All in all, it kicks ass so it was worth it.

Consider luxurious fabrics, chic draping and stylish cuts. Try different forms: a straight cut (Jason Wu), a classic three-quarter length crombie, a belted style that reminds of a dressing-gown (Max Mara). Find your perfect style and make the investment – a camel coat should be your wisest buy of the season!
