Victoria’s Secret Angel Doutzen Kroes is expecting her first child with her DJ boyfriend Sunnery James who she is engaged to. Doutzen is three months pregnant. Congratulations!

Stella McCartney will design athletes’ clothing for the British team at the 2012 London Olympics. McCartney: “As a British fashion designer it is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be creative director of Team GB as the host nation of the London 2012 Olympic Games.”

JAC opened Versace and Joseph Altuzarra Fall/Winter 2010 fashion shows and has also walked the runway for Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, BCBG Max Azria, Narcisco Rodriguez and Calvin Klein.

Apart from walking in the annual 2009 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Anna Jagodzinska has also walked the runway for Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Balenciaga, Chanel, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton.

She also did editorial work for Elle France, Vogue Paris and Vogue Italia. Marcelina has walked the runway for Prada, Dior, Dries van Noten, Yves Saint Laurent, Chloé and John Galliano.

Either with long or roll sleeves, with a notch or shawl collar, button fronted or bottonless, designers suggest a boyfriend-fit jacket or a blazer. It’s a great idea to play with colours:

Either with with a wedge heel or a slim stiletto heel celebrities and trend setters have been out there adapting peep toe boots. Their efforts are successful: Jessica Alba, Ciara, Miranda Cosgrove and Shakira made them a must-have accessory. Even though most of these booties look unwearable, a platform balances the breathtaking stiletto heel so don’t worry you’ll be able to walk on it gracefully.

Lace-up shape, stud embellishments, open heel, sexy front zipper, bold colour, mesh or prints – there are a plenty of types of peep toe boots to choose from. Don’t worry – they’re all totally en vogue in spring summer 2010.

How to wear peep toe boots in spring 2010?

While ankle boots are pretty easy to sport, the midcalf height of the boot can make legs look stumpy. Anyway, there’s always a solution: either wear them under your jeans or with a skirt that is at least 4 inches above the knee.

Stella McCartney, Jean Paul Gaultier and – especially – Ralph Lauren prepared a strong dose of denim for their spring summer 2010 collections. Even though the head-to-toe denim look is usually a fashion “don’t”, it’s no longer a shame to wear it this way (at least this season). I wouldn’t recommend mixing different denim styles and colors but it’s also very fashionable today so I think we should all get out our denim jackets, shirts, vests, shorts and skirts from the darkest nooks of our wardrobes.

How to wear denim in spring summer 2010?

Peek-A-Boo Denim Trend

One of the most important spring 2010 denim trends is denim jackets peeking out from underneath blazers (very fashionable!) and leather jackets. This layered look dates back to 1990s’ and I’m sure Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth have probably worn it somewhere in Beverly Hills 90210.

Ripped, Torn and Patched Denim

Even though it doesn’t look too elegant, ripped, torn and patched denim is going to rule spring 2010 streets around the world. It used to be a huge trend not long ago so you probably won’t need to buy a new pair of trendy ripped jeans. This type of jeans trend dates back to 1980′s so this is where you can get your inspiration from (and from celebrities like Victoria Beckham, Halle Berry and Nicole Richie who have been sporting this trend).

Vera Wang, Proenza Schouler, Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, Jean Paul Gaultier and especially Christian Dior – this is a short excerpt of designers who have presented the boudoir-inspired clothes pointing out that the aim is to wear underwear as outerwear. In fact it’s difficult but totally doable taking into consideration these tips.

Lingerie as outerwear – how-to:

• Try two different styles: one – casual – like someone just caught you in the middle of the night in your bedroom, two – elegant – a polished and alluring lacey look
• Accessorize satin separates with shoes and bags embellished with flirty ruffles and frills
• Pair the innerwear as outerwear clothes with pastels, they are all very in right now (see: spring 2010 fashion trends)
• Mix delicate blush tones with accents of black lace and pearls
• Buy a corset top with a structured shape but not the one that will prevent you from breathing
• If you are used to living in an artistic, fashion-related environment go for ripped stockings, stay-ups or suspenders. I wouldn’t recommend it but it’s fashionable too. Very Lindsay Lohan-like
• Remember that panty diaper shorts, super-short miniskirts and see-through clothes aren’t suitable for work so try something not that revealing

For a carnival season it is a must. This winter, a traditional black lace takes a modern turn and gets connected to a trendy bad girl look. It has a modern attitude and deputizes jewellery – it is enough to wear a black lace alone. The ‘Dark Romantic’ trend involves especially black lace tights or leggings (see: 6126 BY LINDSAY LOHAN) but it is just a conservative version.

If you feel it’s not enough for you, try a lace-covered dress (see: Stella McCartney Scalloped Lace Dress), a jacket, a bandage bodycon skirt or a blouse. For the most fashion-courageous ones designers suggest a great variety of lace accessories like shoes, bracelets and clutches (see: Maika clutch from Dolce & Gabbana’s D&G line). I was amused by some black gown false eyelashes but I find them a little exaggeration, though.

Black lace has also hit the red carpets and it seems like lots of fashionistas have been belovingly sporting this trend. Agyness Deyn adopted the black lace trend that she wamped with some punk inspired accessories. Also, Taylor Momsen created a blonde Morticia Adams-inspired look in her elegant black lace creation that she finished with dark lips and a pair of wedges. Here are some gorgeous lace overlay suggestions:

First, Marion made an appearance at the Los Angeles premiere where she graced the red carpet in a boldly printed Elie Saab dress. The dress had a high collar, fitted hip and some shoulder pads (strong shoulders – a Fall 2009 trend alert!) which created a great stuctured look right with her serious bouffant. She completed her outfit with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels.

Then she went to London where she dazzled in a fiery red Vivienne Westwood dres. Her scarlet satin strapless dress was accompanied with a black Stella McCartney clutch and ankle-strap platforms. I especially adore her hairstyle there. The rumour has it that the dress ripped after signing autographs and walking the red carpet! Poor Marion…

   These peep-toe ankle boots remind me of the ones my mum used to wear. Their white patent leather stripe requires a maximum simplicity – wear them with a simple dress only.

   Multi-buckle shoes trend is a must for a fall 2009 season and it is proved by Balmain’s collection. These 80s-inspired booties are just a perfect example.

   I will never get bored with animal prints, so I had to choose these black and white animal-print canvas ankle booties. Has Stella become another Cavalli?

The only problem is the designers don’t actually care about how women are going to deal with the implied eroticism of the thigh-high boots. In fact, they are frequently related to erotism, boot fetishism, prostitutes and professional dominatrices, so it’s a good idea to know how to wear them properly.

Antonio Berardi, Haider Ackermann and Hermès avoid this unwanted slutty looks by dressing their models in a totally unsexy way. Baggy clothes and too long jackets draw off the attention to the tigh-high boots, loaded with erotism.

Gareth Pugh on the other hand opts for a more dominatrix style by completing the looks with a daring eye make-up. Emilio Pucci, whose idea is to wear the boots with a short dress or a short fur has stolen my heart. Somehow it makes a perfect compromise between fashion and good impression – as I’d call it.

The desired length of this season thigh-high boots is just over the knee, avoiding the ones that reach almost to the crotch (referred to as crotch boots). They can be either flat (Giuseppe Zanotti) or high-heeled (Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Loewe). For your own good, they are made of genuine leather or suede and the colours seem just toned (black, grey, brown, green, creamy). The aim is so as to make the boots just a ‘dessert’, not the ‘main course’.
