Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place on November 7, 2012 in New York City, the Lexington Avenue Armory and (surprise, surprise) featured the latest trends in lingerie showed off by the hottest top fashion models. This year’s lingerie themes were: Calendar Girls, Silver Screen Angels, Dangerous Liasons, Angels in Bloom and Circus.

The long list of lucky models includes such names as Miranda Kerr, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, Erin Heatherton, and Behati Prinsloo. Also, British models Cara Delevingne (face of Burberry Prorsum) and Jourdan Dunn joined the exclusive list of this year’s Victoria’s Secret Angels.
Alessandra Ambrosio had the honour of modelling the Fantasy Bra. In the interview she said she was very excited and really worried after being selected just few weeks after giving birth to her son. The prestigious jewel-encrusted piece worth $2.5 million was designed by Long Island’s London Jewellers.
Adriana Lima who gave birth to her second child two months ago had a tough nut to crack as she had a deal signed to appear on this year’s show. The brave Angel worked out really hard and watched her diet far more carefully to get back a toned and svelte look.
It’s amazing that in 2002, the US National Organization for Women complained that the show was a “soft-core porn infomercial”. Luckily, the organizers have so far never been fined. All in all, the million dollar extravaganza show is very popular especially with men who wait ever year for the show with a great dose of excitation.
Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Bruno Mars appeared as performers in this years fashion show. The only female singer, Rihanna donned two outfits and performed her songs “Diamonds” and “Fresh Off The Runway”.
The Victoria’s Secret 2012 fashion show will be broadcast on US television on December 4. So stay tuned!
